About Us

Jim is the 3rd generation of the Clark family to farm in Kingston Blount.

Now our son is in charge of the daily running with a lot of help from Dad. Our grandson will soon be joining us making that 5 generations. We both were born in the village and were next door neighbours, knowing each other all our lives and have now been married for 50 years.

Our son Jamie and his family live across the field and our daughter Emma lives in Brook street. She has a dress agency Recollections in Chinnor 2 miles away.

We would like to invite you to sit on the veranda with a glass of wine enjoying the tranquillity of the surroundings with the scene of sheep, cattle and grandchildren’s ponies peacefully grazing. See the red kites soaring above, or perching in the native black popular by the lake, the green woodpecker on the lawn, the squirrels burying their nuts, the flash of blue of the kingfisher, feed the ducks a morning crust, Mr pheasant strutting around, and early visits from pesky rabbits! We take pride in our abundance of wildlife….never a dull moment, in peace and tranquillity.

The lakeside cabin is in the ideal location for walking/cycling in the Chilterns and we are close to the historic Ridgeway Path. Visit Oxford, London, Bicester village, and many National Trust properties listed under Places to Visit.

Our local area is well known as locations for the long running ITV series Midsomer Murders, Inspector Morse and the Vicar of Dibley

You can visit a host of locations including several lovely country pubs, used in the BBC series. We are near Oxford and within easy reach to London (Marylebone) by train, from Princes Risborough Station just 4 miles away.

Great walkable pub serving excellent food and many others just short drive away including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quats Saisons.

We provide at no extra charge a welcome pack for your first mornings breakfast including eggs from our happy hens.

The lounge/dining area has comfortable furniture, TV. Fitted kitchen with new appliances, including a 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, and kettle. Crockery, kitchen utensils, and an iron & ironing board are provided.
